'Rohingya refugees shouldn't be offered skills, training' says opposition MP

Malaysia houses thousands of Rohingya ethnic groups who escaped their harsh realities in Myanmar
Datuk Seri Dr Ismail Abd Muttalib (PN-Maran) said the government should not open more 'space' for these refugees as it will give negative impact in the future.
"I am confident that after these group were given training, they will also be given opportunities to hold position in our country's employment sector.
"(So) I hope the government pays attention to this matter (as it involves the country's future)," he said while debating on King's Speech in Dewan Rakyat here today.
Ismail explained that the government should find ways to help the people, especially the young ones who are still jobless.
"Why would the government plan to provide training for Rohingya ethnic group in our country?
"There are hundreds of thousands more that do not have a job. These people (Malaysian) are the ones who need help so they can work," he said.
Sinar previously reported that Malaysia will help the Myanmar refugees, especially the Rohingya ethinc group to attend skills training course so they can get jobs.
