Dr Halimah's statement is confusing, says PKR man
SHAH ALAM - The statement by Kapar MP Dr Halimah Ali linking the Rahmah Menu towards potentially causing dangerous illness is seen as confusing.
Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) Central Leadership Council (MPP) member Amidi Abdul Manan said that as someone with a medical background, her statement could cause a misunderstanding among the public.
He said the RM5 rate was reasonable and proved acceptable to consumers and traders.
"For me, the low price shows the solidarity between businessmen and citizens driven by the government towards safeguarding the common welfare.
"It is written proof of how much the values of faith towards Malaysia Madani are essential in rebuilding the country," he said in a statement on Saturday.
Halimah was previously reported as having voiced her concerns that the preparation of food at such a low price for the Rahmah Menu could lead to those less fortunate receiving low-quality food.
Amidi said the trust can develop a cooperative attitude between all parties towards their efforts.
"Trust is not something forced, it can present itself through honesty and transparency.
"The Rahmah Menu does not only contain food, but trust strengthened by the idea of Malaysia Madani," he explained.
