Saiful Bukhari's wife Nik Suryani to stand for Umno Wanita Exco post
KUALA TERENGGANU - Former TV3 personality Nik Suryani Megat Deraman has offred herself for a post on the Umno Wanita executive council in the 2023 Umno election.
Suryani who was an Umno Kubang Kepong Branch and Umno Marang Division member had submitted the nomination form for the position at Menara Dato’ Onn Auditorium at 4.30pm on Monday.
She said her desire to contest for the Umno Wanita position gained the blessings from her husband Saiful Bukhari Azlan, family members and Umno Marang Division chief Datuk Nik Dir Nik Wan Ku.
“My desire to offer myself is to continue the struggle, sacrifice and devotion of Umno Wanita to the country which began before independence.
“I want to share my experience as a media and creative industry practitioner that I was involved in for over 20 years.
“Hopefully with this small contribution from me and also all Umno members this party will continue to advance, be relevant as a vehicle to defend religion, race and the land,” she said through a statement on Facebook.
