PM hints leaders under PN administration to be probe by MACC

KUALA LUMPUR - Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has hinted that certain leaders during Perikatan Nasional (PN) administration may be probed by anti-graft agency.
He said this is because there was a lot of damage done during the previous government.
"Under Barisan Nasional (BN) government there were cases such as 1MDB but during PN's rule there are some damages as well.
"It includes Jana Biwaba (project), flood mitigation projects and several other leakages in the investigation.
"Some asked why haven't this been investigated? But that is up to the MACC and enforcement agencies. There may be some good news for people soon," he said.
Anwar was replying to Datuk Dr Radzi Md Jidin (PN-Putrajaya) over leaks in the previous government in Dewan Rakyat, today.
Anwar also answered a question from Lo Su Fui (GRS-Tawau) probed by Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC).
The prime minister said some of the large-scale cases include the water project in Sabah involving RM3.3 billion through Ops Water.
The assets successfully saved were worth RM63 million and the case was still ongoing in court.
"Second was the bitcoin syndicate stealing electricity supply totaling up to RM2.3 billion in 2018 to 2021 through Ops Power. The third was the false claims on Covid-19 MCO Career Generator Programme," he said.
