Road collapses after heavy rain near Janda Baik

SHAH ALAM - The old road linking Kuala Lumpur to Bentong has been closed temporarily since yesterday after part of the road collapsed due to sudden gush of water.
The incident which took placeat 6.30 pm.
In a statement, Road Care Sdn Bhd said the affected area is about 100 meters before turning into Janda Baik.
The damage, it further said could only be carried out after water settles.
"However, we are still looking into the width and height of the landslide area, but the it was predicted the slide was 50 metre(m) long.
"The road is now closed for all vehicles but road users are advised to use the alternative route at E8 KL-Karak Highway," it said.
