Nurul Izzah no longer PM's finance adviser
SYDI ALIFSHAH ALAM: PKR vice-president Nurul Izzah Anwar will no longer serve as senior economics and finance adviser to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
Izzah revealed that this was because she has accepted an invitation to co-head a secretariat, which supported the advisory committee to the Finance Minister.
“Tan Sri Mohd Hassan Marican who chaired the Finance Minister's Special Advisory Body had invited me to join the advisory secretariat to help their efforts in strengthening the economy of the country and the people.
"I humbly accepted this responsibility. With this new role, I no longer serve as senior economics and finance advisor to the Prime Minister." she said in a statement, today.
The former Permatang Pauh MP also expressed appreciation for every support given by the public and the entire public service and the government.
"Malaysians as a whole anticipate an excellent future and firm unification led by the Prime Minister together with the unity government.
“I hope the service of assisting Tan Sri Mohd Hassan Marican and other committee members are able to benefit our beloved country,” Nurul Izzah said.
