KJ should contest in Kelantan, he may be the MB, says Aminuddin

SEREMBAN - Negeri Sembilan Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun says former Rembau MP Khairy Jamaluddin have brighter prospects in winning in Kelantan State polls and becoming the Menteri Besar.

He said the Bersatu Youth chief Wan Ahmad Fayhsal Wan Ahmad Kamal was a Kelantan representative and could suggest Khairy’s name.

“If Khairy contested in Kelantan I think he has the chance of becoming Kelantan Menteri Besar.

“Fayhsal should suggest to Khairy to contest in Kelantan so he can become the Menteri Besar.

“I think his chances there were much more open after a suggestion from a Kelantan individual,” he said at a press conference, here, today.

He said this after Fayhsal said Khairy could be Menteri Besar through Bersatu after winning the state elections.

Fayhsal who was the Machang MP was confident Perikatan Nasional (PN) would be able to take Negeri Sembilan or Selangor with Khairy’s addition to the party.

Aminuddin said the country needed to practice democracy and Khairy has the rights to contest anywhere he wanted including Negeri Sembilan.

“I know there are those who offered Khairy to contest in the Selangor State Election and he was excited to contest there.

“He did not say anything about contesting in Negeri Sembilan even though many said he would," he added.
