Do you love concerts? Lucky you, because Malaysia is serving up a pretty exciting line-up of concerts this year.

From Jay Chou, Ne-Yo, and AR Rahman, our country is about to witness many more concerts performed by many international artistes like Westlife, Blue BlackPInk, and more!

Whether or not it's your first time at a concert here are some things to know when attending live events.

DRESS APPROPRIATELY

There's nothing wrong with being fashionable but make it comfortable!

Research the concert's location and dress accordingly. For example, if the concert is held in a field, the most suitable footwear will be sneakers or sandals.

Heels are not advised!

MAKE SURE YOUR PHONE IS FULLY CHARGED

Attending a concert could be a lifetime moment for us. Of course, we would like to take thousands of pictures and videos, especially when something interesting is happening.

You wouldn't wanna receive a phone notification saying 'Battery low 20 percent' at the most crucial moment in concert, so be sure of charging your phone.

Some concerts don't allow you to bring power banks, so be sure to fully charge it first.

PREPARE RAINCOATS

The tropical weather in Malaysia could either greet you with rain or shine.

So again, do research on the concert's location. If it's done in an outdoor area, be sure to buy raincoats. You can get them at any supermarket.

Some concert venues don't allow umbrellas - you'll likely block other people's views and might hurt someone. With that, always opt for the raincoat.

FUEL UP

Some concerts may take long hours, you'll definitely get exhausted by the time you enter the hall after queueing up for some time.

Make sure you fuel up and keep yourself full. Avoid eating spicy food, or anything that will trigger discomfort in your stomache as you wouldn't want anything to interrupt your concert experience!

SHOW UP EARLY

Concerts usually expect huge crowds, especially if it's done in a big capacity location like the Bukit Jalil National Stadium.

Some concerts may see more than 50,000 attendees, so be there early so you can reserve a good spot.

DON'T CUT QUEUES

Keep in mind that everybody is there for the same thing - to watch the artiste perform. With the large crowd, it's normal to be queueing up for hours.

Be mindful of others and don't simply cut lines as it could lead to unnecessary scuffles.

BE RESPECTFUL

The artiste, depending on who they are and what their nationality is, may perform songs in languages you're not familiar with.

Do be respectful of other people's cultures and refrain from making unnecessary remarks that could trigger others emotionally.

If you don't have anything nice to say, keep it to yourself, and more importantly, don't upload it on social media - unless you want to invite drama.
