AMPANG - Selangor Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah) wants the Pakatan Harapan (PH) and Barisan Nasional (BN) seat allocation issue in the upcoming state election (PRN) to be solved before Ramadan.

Its chairman, Ir Izham Hashim, said the previous PH meeting had decided to negotiate with BN for the distribution of the PRN seats in accordance with the Unity Government concept at the central level.

According to him, informal negotiations between PH and BN had been done, and there were positive developments.

"We will conduct a meeting with the PH leadership, consisting of Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR), Amanah, and DAP, in the near future.

"Then, a technical committee meeting for seat negotiations will follow," he said when we met during the sales launch of Jelajah Ehsan Rakyat 2.0 at Taman Nirwana community hall today.

He said the seat allocation negotiation should be resolved as soon as possible, so focus on PRN preparations at the grassroots level can be made.

When asked about the possibility of Amanah having fewer seats because of the PH and BN joint venture in the state election, Izham said the matter would be decided while determining the seat allocation criteria.

"The meeting was held, in principle, to outline the criteria that will guide the seat distribution. The criteria need to be fair and accepted by all parties.

"One established method is to keep the seat won while the lost seat needs to be discussed," he said.
