Many PN candidates qualify to be Selangor MB, Pas Selangor says

SHAH ALAM - Perikatan Nasional (PN) has many candidates who are qualified to be Selangor Menteri Besar(MB) if the coalition wins in the state election this year.

Pas Selangor youth chief Mohamed Sukri Omar said more than 10 candidates are clean, competent and have the credibility to be appointed for the position.

"The people of Selangor need not worry as PN has numerous clean and of high calibre candidates for the position.

"More importantly, the candidates need to be approved by Sultan Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah," he said in a statement on Facebook.

He said one of them was Pas Selangor commissioner Datuk Dr Ahmad Yunus Hairi who has a clean and excellent record when he served the people.

He said that Dr Ahmad Yunus was a medical doctor from Selangor and experienced as state government exco for two terms.

"He was Sijangkang state assembly member for three terms and is now Kuala Langat parliament member.

"He is also active in charity event by mobilizing the Yayasan Amal Selangor, so, for me, he is a leader who walks the talk and focuses on his work," he said.

He hoped PN could conquer Selangor and brings better changes to the state.

Selangor PN election machinery deputy director Kapten (B) Datuk Dr Zulkafperi Hanafi previously said PN did not rule out the possibility of naming Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali as Selangor MB if PN wins.

However, he said the decision would depend on PN leadership's wisdom to determine the best candidate for the important position.
