KUALA LUMPUR - Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said the party did not receive any funds from the economic stimulus package created while he led the previous government.

He said this at a press conference held after the Perikatan Nasional (PN) member of parliament retreat at a hotel here on Thursday.

The party's accounts were frozen two weeks prior to facilitate the investigations being made according to the Anti-Money Laundering and Anti-Terrorism Financing Act, he added.

It was reported that the party's accounts had been frozen in relation to MACC's investigations towards the former government stimulus funds amounting to RM92.5 billion during the Covid-19 pandemic which was allegedly misappropriated.

"I want to repeat my statement that Bersatu never received any funds from the economic stimulus package worth RM92.5 billion as claimed by certain parties.
