SHAH ALAM - The legal affairs division under the Prime Minister's Department is conducting a survey on the proposal to draft the Freedom of Information Act in Malaysia.

In a tweet, the division said that the survey was carried out to obtain the public's views and feedback on the proposed enactment of the Freedom of Information Act in Malaysia.

"The government is in the process of considering an enactment to the Freedom of Information Act with the main goal of ensuring a more open and transparent public access to information," the statement said.

The questionnaire was divided into four sections and contains 16 questions that include closed and open questions.

The survey, which seeks respondents above the age of 18, will be conducted until Feb 16.
