Umno takes cooling off period in Sabah - Zahid

KOTA KINABALU - Umno Sabah has decided to take a cooling-off period in dealing with the political turmoil in the state.

Its president Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said that an open discussion was held with the leadership of Umno Sabah as well as with the members of the State Legislative Assembly regarding the political dynamism that is happening in Sabah.

"We have taken several decisions. First, we took a cooling-off period to deal with polemics or crises in Sabah from a political point of view.

"For this period, we feel that there is no matter or issue that cannot be resolved.

"There are many approaches that we are ought to take and organise to deal with the political situation here," he said in a press conference after chairing a special meeting of Umno Sabah relations at the Umno Sabah building, here, on Monday.
