TANJONG KARANG - Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) Selangor is open and ready to accept former Selangor Umno chief, Tan Sri Noh Omar and several other members of the party who were sacked and suspended in order to further strengthen the Perikatan Nasional (PN) machinery in the state.

Selangor PN Election Machinery Deputy Director, Datuk Dr Zulkafperi Hanapi said, the inclusion of Noh, who has extensive political experience, can help the PN machinery face the upcoming Selangor state election (PRN).

According to him, Bersatu has always stood firm in its stance for the unification of the Malays and defending the rights of the race while not oppressing other races.

"I believe that those who are disappointed with Umno will choose Bersatu and we welcome them to continue the fight together with Bersatu," he said at a press conference at the Tanjong Karang Parliament Bersatu Office on Sunday.

Zulkafperi, who is also Tanjong Karang MP, said that if Noh chose Bersatu, he was sure that more of the leader's followers and young people, especially in Parliament, would join PN.

"I admit that I have received a WhatsApp message from a Umno Tanjong Karang member to join Bersatu after being disappointed with the decision made by the Umno leadership.

"This wave of change is not only in Tanjong Karang but is happening all over Selangor and this has convinced us that we are able to take over the state from PH (Pakatan Harapan)," he said.

Sinar on Friday reported that Pas Selangor is also willing to accept Noh to join the party to help PN to face the state elections which is expected to be held this year.
