Better if you reflect your loss in GE15, Pas tells Jazlan
IPOH - Perak Pas commissioner Razman Zakaria cynically criticised Johor Umno deputy chairman Datuk Nur Jazlan Mohamed over the latter’s statement that Pas president Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang suffers from major political depression.
Nur Jazlan reportedly said Perikatan Nasional (PN) leaders should do something about Hadi’s alleged psychological condition.
Razman, who is also PN chairman said Nur Jazlan should prioritise self-evaluation over why he lost Pulai parliamentary seat twice in a row.
“How good of Datuk Nur Jazlan to think about PN.
“(However) it is better for him to focus on why he lost Pulai parliamentary seat twice, namely in the 14th General Election (GE14) and the 15th General Election (GE15)
“It would be best for him to evaluate why Umno did not win a single seat in Perlis, Penang, Kedah, Kelantan and Terengganu,” he said in a Facebook post last night.
Razman also asked Nur Jazlan to consider the consequences to their young supporters after Umno decided not to contest the two top posts in the upcoming elections.
“It is better if you think of the effect on Umno’s supporters especially the youth when the president and deputy president positions are not being contested,” he added.
On Tuesday, Nur Jazlan urged PN leaders to act on Hadi’s ‘psychological problems’ which had allegedly persisted especially from his statement of giving money during GE15 as a form of charity.
Nur Jazlan had said that they needed to knock some sense to the Marang parliament member and that he had to accept that PN failed as a government despite winning many seats.
Previously, it was reported that Hadi claimed the money distributed by several individuals during GE15 was considered charity.
The Marang parliament member commented on the matter in response to Terengganu Umno filing an election petition to challenge the GE15 result in three parliamentary seats won by PN candidates from Pas, namely Marang, Kuala Terengganu and Kemaman. - AWANI
