ALOR SETAR - The wave of young people supporting Perikatan Nasional (PN) did not waver even if the unity government is led by the Pakatan Harapan (PH) and Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition.

Kedah PN youth chief Nurul Amin Hamid said this was not empty talk, but was proven through the results of the Padang Serai 15th General Election (GE15) which showed that support remained with PN which was the opposition.

He said the youth's support was unconditional to PN and based on the majority win in the Parliament by PN in Kedah was from the support of youth voters.

"We found that most youth's voting channels, including in PH and BN strongholds were won by PN.

"The youth has started to realise that Umno/BN which used to be our main rival is now outdated in Kedah when it did not win a single seat in the state," he said.

Nurul Amin who is also Kedah Pas youth chief said Umno/BN was expected to take a longer time to rebuild their strong grassroots when it was hindered by the liability of their number one leader Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi who was still the party's president.

"I believe that the youths in Kedah are well informed on the BN or PH government's performance as well as the PN government that used to govern Kedah.

"Kedah's outstanding performance under PN is unmatched and it is a general knowledge among the young voters." he said.
