It's time we talk about 2023 fashion trends.
What is clearly visible, local and foreign fashion designers are growing.
Most are bringing in new ideas that are sometimes out of the ordinary. Some highlight dynamic ideas, but there is also the opposite. No matter what, the question is, what are the features that will take the lead of both the global and local fashion world this year?
Calvin Thoo a local fashion designer who has been in the industry for around 30 years using his name as the brand, shared his thoughts in a recent interview with Sinar.
Calvin shared, in terms of color hues, he expects neon color shades to dominate. Even so, blue, green, red, and lavender purple would also get the spotlight.
In terms of garments, the designer viewed lace will be a crowd favourite.
"For the outfit, the jacket style and also the 1980s look are still an option. The fashion probability for this year may also look a little sexy, but not too exposed," said Calvin who uses local crafts and international designers' couture techniques as a source of inspiration.
Poplook media marketing executive Siti Nursyazreen Nabila Mohd Anis said the viva magenta colour group is also expected to be in trend.
She also rooted that the oversized shirt with matching pants that were very popular last year will continue to maintain the same momentum in 2023.
"Poplook also uses a variety of quality fabrics such as cotton, linen, and viscose," she said, adding that the brand's latest collection will continue to feature fresh and trendy themes suitable for all women regardless of age.

Clothes with purple hues.
Just like Calvin expected, the colour will continue to gather more fans. From pants, dresses, and jackets to shoes, that shade will dominate the 2023 fashion. Besides that, shades of blue such as pastel blue are suitable to combine with floral motifs for dresses or blouses.
Lace cuts.
Dresses with lace cuts are not only suitable for styling in summer, but also ideal for formal events.
Shades of sun-like bright yellow.
A splash of the shade goes well with a blazer, dress, or blouse. The wearer will stand out more throughout an event. It will look even more sophisticated with an addition of white stripes.
Sporty look.
Aligned with the current environment, sporty clothes are also designed specifically for formal events such as dinner parties. Usually, it translates into several items such as bomber jackets, silky sweatshirts, and sports jackets.
Ruffles.
It is lacy and wavy. Some types of ruffles include a ruffled skirt, ruffled shoulder, and ruffled blouse.
Floral motifs.
Florals would also decorate the fashion trends of 2023. Of course, it is interpreted in women's blouses and dresses.
