SEREMBAN - A foreign maid took off with her employer's money and jewellery worth RM14,000 after three months of employment.

The 33-year-old employer noticed the incident after returning home from a family's friend's wedding at 7.30pm on Sunday.

Seremban District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Nanda Maarof said the maid named Hendriyawati, 40, did not respond to any of the calls and the complainant found the kitchen door and the back gate left opened.

“His child's and wife's jewellery were missing from their bedroom drawers," he said, adding that the complainant made a police report on Monday at 11.44am.

“The complainant had filed a late report because he attempted to track the suspect through the employment agent and identifying her tracks through several numbers in the maid’s notebook,” he said in a statement today.
