SERDANG - Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) student Mohd Irfan Hakimi who went missing after performing Friday prayers last week was spotted in Tampoi, Johor today.

Serdang District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner A Anbalagan said the student was located in Johor through debit card transaction.

"From a CCTV footage, the student was seen accompanied by another individual believed to be his friend.

"The police also managed to find the Yamaha LC135 motorcycle he abandoned at Terminal Bersepadu Selatan (TBS), Bandar Tasik Selatan.

"So we believe that he went to Johor in a bus" he told reporters today.

On Wednesday Sinar Harian reported that a university student was reported missing after riding a motorcycle for Friday prayers.

The student's father filed a report at Sungai Besar Police Station, Sabak Bernam at 4pm on Monday.

Anbalagan said the parents had been informed and it is understood the parents have left for Johor to look for their missing child.

Preliminary investigations found that Irfan did not suffer from any personal problems and was not suffering from depression.
