Beef Rendang and New Body Art for British boyband Blue this February
ZAFIRA ANWARKUALA LUMPUR - British boyband Blue is looking forward to eating Malaysian beef rendang and possibly getting a new body tattoo in their upcoming tour to Malaysia.
"Make sure you've got some beef rendang ready for me because that is one of my favourite dishes," said Simon Webbe from Blue in an online press conference on Monday.
His band mate , Duncan James, said he had been getting new tattoos whenever he visited Malaysia.
"I still don't know yet (what tattoos to get), but every time I come to Malaysia, I get a tattoo.
"I don't know if you guys can see, but they did that one on my leg the last time I was in Kuala Lumpur," said James while showing off the ink on his calf.
The quartet, consisting of James, Webbe, Antony Costa and Lee Ryan, will return to Plenary Hall, Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, this 10 February, where they will be performing all their greatest hits & songs from their new album.
"We need everybody to be singing, so make sure you download and stream the album to familiarise yourself with the songs.
"We might bring back some old moves from 20 years ago to the stage, and we’re out to enjoy ourselves with lots of fun," said Webbe.
Organised by Hitman Solutions and Happymoon, the organisers expected a high turnout at Blue's 20th Anniversary 'Heart & Soul' Malaysia concert, with over 50% of tickets sold so far.
Hitman Solutions founder Rohit Rampal said fans could expect a local opening act at the 75-minute concert.
"Except for the musicians, all technical crew involved with Blue’s concert are Malaysians."
Tickets are priced from RM188 to RM688 and are available at www.hitmanlive.com.
