SHAH ALAM - Malaysia is showing a steady decrease in the daily Covid-19 cases reported, with 227 new cases reported on Monday compared to 242 cases the previous day.

According to data by KKMNow, four cases from the total were imported.

This brings the country's cumulative infections to 5,032,904 cases according to the Health Ministry's CovidNow data.

The portal reported that there six deaths, where two deaths occured outside hospital facilities or brought-in-dead (BID).

Currently, a total of 457 patients were treated in hospitals; 21 of them were in intensive care unit (ICU) and nine required ventilator support.
