SHAH ALAM - Pas has told Umno Terengganu Chief Datuk Seri Ahmad Said that they will see him in court over allegations of vote buying in the east coast state.

Chukai assemblyman Hanafiah Mat: "We will see you in court."

He told Sinar Daily when asked to comment on allegations made by Terengganu Umno chief Datuk Seri Ahmad Said said the party has filed petitions to reject Marang, Kemaman and Kuala Terengganu's 15th General Election (GE15) results.

Ahmad during a press conference claimed that voters received between RM500 to RM1,000 per household from Perikatan Nasional (PN) candidates during GE15.

Ahmad had claimed "large amount of money" was distributed to voters during the campaign.

Umno lawyer Amin Othman had said during the press conference that around 20 witnesses came forward to cooperate and testify against PN candidates who won in the three constituencies.

Most of the witnesses are new voters aged from 18 to 21 years old, Amin said.

Ahmad was defeated in Kemaman with a majority of 27,179 votes against Pas candidate Che Alias Hamid.

Marang was won by Hadi with a majority of 41,729 votes in a four-cornered contest, while Kuala Terengganu was retained by PAS candidate Amzad Hashim with a majority of 40,907 votes against three challengers.
