Reform agenda set in motion at Cabinet Retreat

PUTRAJAYA - Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim today set in motion the reform agenda under his administration, addressing ministers and top government officials.during a Cabinet retreat at Seri Perdana today.

In a special briefing, Anwar stressed on the implementation of the key aspects of consolidation in the delivery and administration of government machinery .

The retreat, attended by all 27 ministers and 10 senior government officers, was aimed at strengthening the unified understanding within the Cabinet of the Unity Government.

A statement issued by the National Institute of Public Administration (INTAN), the retreat is said to be focused on Anwar's aim to establish the reform agenda within the Unity Government administration.

"The key aspects addressed in the briefing were on government structure and public service affairs, the government's procurement and financial management, international conference and national interests, government protocol and professionalism, sustainable development, the economic scenario and challanges, as well as a briefing on media communications," read the statement.
