Umno: Disciplinary actions cannot be simply taken – Khaled
NURUL HUDA HUSAIN , FARAH SHAZWANI ALI , NURFARDLINA IZZATI MOKTARKUALA LUMPUR - Any disciplinary action against Umno leaders including from BN cannot be done carelessly.
Umno vice president Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin said all actions taken need to go through a process.
"I believe all that will go through a process instead of being done in a reckless manner so that justice is given to all," he said.
Khaled said this to reporters after Umno president Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi's Policy Speech in conjunction with the Umno General Assembly (PAU 2022) at the Kuala Lumpur World Trade Centre (WTCKL) here on Friday.
Zahid earlier in his speech hinted that Umno would take action against those who allegedly tried to betray the party.
Khaled added that the warning given by Zahid during the speech was also relevant.
"In a situation where we accept the fact that Umno is no longer as strong and firm as before, the most important thing for the party is that there must be agreement and cooperation within it," he said.
The Higher Education Minister also described the policy speech made by Zahid as comprehensive and timely.
"As a policy speech that I believe should be used as a guide for leaders, party members and also party representatives in the government," he explained.
