Asyraf Wajdi appointed as Umno's chief secretariat for state elections - Tok Mat

KUALA LUMPUR - Umno as party should prepare itself for the upcoming state elections, said Umno deputy president Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan.
In his speech on the first day of the general assembly, Mohamad annouced that Umno Youth Chief Datuk Dr Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki has been appointed as the Chief Secretariat of the party to face the state elections.
“We will be facing six state elections in Kedah, Kelantan, Terengganu, Negeri Sembilan, Pulau Pinang and Selangor.
" The top leadership is currently in discussions on what is the path we are going to take in facing these elections.
" That’s why we need to discuss what is best for the party to be ready for the next election,” he said
He added that with the appointment of Asyraf as the chief secretariat, all members should come forward and share ideas on the party could excel in the state elections.
Mohamad added that the top leadership will work hard to ensure that the party is back on track for the upcoming state elections.
" It is my hope that we can all join hands and give our best for the party, If we let go of this chance then Umno will be buried in a decade's time,” he said.
