2022 Umno General Assembly: Medium for leaders to discuss

KUALA LUMPUR - The 2022 Umno General Assembly (PAU) is a medium for Umno leaders to have a good discussion to solve all the issues in the party.
Negeri Sembilan Umno youth chief Datuk Mohd Zaidy Abdul Kadir said he hoped that all members will have a discussion in harmony.
“We may disagree, but we could not bring damage to the party or even the leaders’ reputation, so that’s why we need to have this assembly”, he said.
Even though Umno lost during the 15th General Election (GE15), Zaidy said Umno could still contribute to the unity government.
“We are actually able to form a unity government that has been proposed by the Yang-Dipertuan Agong,
“All of the Umno members are still sad after GE15, but our spirits are still there and we can see a lot of Umno members today,” he said.
He said he also hoped that Umno will be contributing to the unity government until the end of its term.
In today's agenda, the opening ceremony was officiated by Umno deputy president Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan at 8.53pm.
The assembly will be held for four days from today (Jan 11).
