This was expressed in a joint statement released by Tanjung Keramat assemblyman Datuk Ir Shahelmey Yahya, Pantai Dalit assemblyman Datuk Jasnih Daya, Sugut assemblyman Datuk James Ratib, Sindumin assemblyman Datuk Dr Yusuf Yacob and Tempasuk assemblyman Datuk Mohd Arsad Bistari.
"We are surprised by the action of certain quarters, particularly the Sabah Umno Liaison Committee Chairman who is attempting to topple the legitimate Sabah state government.
"Therefore, we totally condemn this action, and we demand that he (Bung) resign immediately from his post as liaison committee chairman as his action has tainted the party's good name," they unanimously said in a statement on Saturday.
The assemblymen have expressed shock and regret because Sabah and its people were again dragged into a political crisis by irresponsible people.
"Along with the people of Sabah, we stand by our belief that this is not the time for power grabs.
"On the contrary, it is time to unite and focus our energy and resources to restore and develop the state's economy and improve the standard of living of the people," said the statement.
Hence, the assemblymen have declared their undivided support for Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor as the legitimate chief minister.
"As per the aspiration of the people of Sabah, we want the political stability to be maintained and reject any attempt or action by any party that wants to cause chaos and unrest among the people.
"We pray that this political crisis will soon end so efforts to prosper our beloved Sabah can continue.
"With that, we once again express our undivided support for the leadership of Hajiji as chief minister," they said.
Previously, Bung Moktar, who is also Sabah BN Chairman, revealed that there were five Sabah BN assemblymen who did not agree with the party's action to withdraw support for Hajiji as Sabah Chief Minister.
