PH Presidential Council meets today to discuss state elections

PETALING JAYA - Pakatan Harapan (PH) holds a Presidential Council meeting on Saturday evening chaired by Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

It is understood that the Tambun MP who is also the Prime Minister had been at the Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) headquarters, here, since this morning.

Among other leaders who were seen present at about 4pm were PKR Women chief who is also the Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek and the Parti Amanah Negara Communications Director Khalid Samad.

The meeting was scheduled to be attended by all the main PH leaderships including Amanah President Mohamad Sabu and DAP Secretary-General Anthony Loke.

PH Secretary Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail on Jan 3 announced that the meeting would discuss the 'post-mortem' of the 15th General Election (GE15) and preparations for the state elections in six states which would take place this year.

The question remained if PH would still cooperate with Barisan Nasional (BN) in the upcoming state elections which would take place at Pulau Pinang, Negeri Sembilan, Kedah, Kelantan, Terengganu and Selangor.
