Youth will always choose PN, says Hadi
MOHAMAD AMREEL IMAN ABD MALEKSHAH ALAM - Pas president Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang describes the support of the Malay youth towards Perikatan Nasional (PN) in the 15th General Election (GE15) as a signal towards the rise of Islam.
The Marang MP said even though they were offered several other promises from parties such as Pakatan Harapan (PH) and Barisan Nasional (BN), many chose not to accept them.
"During the time, they displayed the support of knowledgeable professors and scientists for the purpose of enticing the youth.
"A lot of sophisticated social media were used and a lot of 'false promises' were posted and not fulfilled, along with new promises not fulfilled.
"The offers were rejected by the youth that was lied to in GE14 and continue to reject BN and PH in GE15.
“Now we witness a wave of the Malay Muslim youth rising in the recent GE15 that brought victory for PN," he said in a post on his Facebook on Friday.
Hadi said the situation caused both parties to gain support from other groups.
"Their (PH) seats achieved were based on the votes of non-Muslim voters while BN relied on senior citizens," he said.
He said the Islamic administration emphasises the value of integrity and good governance.
"When Islam rules a country, it is fair to all, this would create a government that is clean from the disease that is corruption, mismanagement and others through faith and morals, not just through knowledge," he said.
