Keep clean to woo tourists, Nga says after visiting tourists spots
SHAH ALAM - Authorities and the community are reminded to keep the environment clean.
This comes after Local Government Development Minister Nga Kor Ming made a visit at strategic tourist spots.
The said locations were Jalan Ampang at KLCC, Bukit Bintang Walk, Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman, Medan Pasar, Dataran Merdeka, among others.
Upon his visit to the locations at night Nga said local authorities need to constantly keep note on the public cleanliness.
"I believe the Alam Flora will take immediate action to improve waste management services after my visit.
"Also, Solid Waste Corp under local government development ministry will monitor to keep surrounding clean.
“All parties should remember that public cleanliness and a conducive atmosphere are very important for the development of our country's tourism industry in particular and the well-being of the people in general," he said in a statement.
Apart from the responsibilities on the government and private agencies, Nga also extended his hope to parents who were responsible in educating their children to be more loving to the environment.
