KUALA LUMPUR - Police are cooperating with the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) to identify the Russian woman who uploaded her experience of breaking into the Merdeka 118 tower on Twitter.

Dang Wangi District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Noor Dellhan Yahaya said the reports on the details of the incident is currently being processed by MCMC.

He said MCMC needs to verify whether the account is owned by the Russian lady who have claimed to have climbed the tower. "Investigations are still ongoing and we will get a report from MCMC regarding the details of the social media account involved whether it truly belongs to the Russian citizen or otherwise.

"After the report is obtained the matter would be referred to the Malaysian Immigration Department (JIM ) for all entry records of Russian citizens," he told Sinar today ( Thursday )

He said the police recorded nine individual statements including a statement from the tower's management.
