Explain Farhash' appointment as 7-Eleven chairman, Bersatu MP questions Anwar
SHAH ALAM - Bersatu MP Datuk Khilir Mohd Nor has questioned Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim over the appointment of Farhash Wafa Salvador as new chairman for 7-Eleven Malaysia Holdings Bhd.
In a statement, Khilir said the appointments comes in just over a month after Anwar was appointed as the prime minister.
“It is public knowledge that Farhash is a close confidante of Anwar and was his former political secretary,” he said.
The fact that Farhash was appointed to the positions so soon after Anwar was made prime minister negates Malaysia's reputation of good governance in Malaysia, he added.
He added that the appointment was "distasteful and disgusting" as it reinforces and maintains the murky relationship between business and politicians in Malaysia.
Where are the endless promises made by PH of good governance and integrity in administering the nation? Farhash’s appointments are proof that PH & Anwar’s so-called ‘reform’ agenda are a sham and nothing but a political tactic to dupe voters.
The Keterah MP urged Anwar to break his silence over the appointment and explain to the rakyat "how these appointments are consistent with good governance or reform."
Yesterday, 7-Eleven Malaysia announced Farshah, who is also Anwar's former political secretary, as new chairman as well as his appointment last week as group executive Chairman of Apex Equity.
