SHAH ALAM – Malaysia records a total of 417 new cases of Covid-19 on Sunday with three of them being imported cases.

According to the data from the Health Ministry on the KKMNow portal, a total of four new deaths due to Covid-19 were recorded and two of them were deaths involving cases outside hospital facilities or brought-in-dead (BID), which brought the number of deaths in the country now to 36,857 cases.

Meanwhile, there were a total of 11,871 active cases with 11,232 or 94.6 percent being individuals quarantined at home.

In the meantime, a total of 609 Covid-19 patients were placed in hospital, with 30 patients being admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU) and of that number, nine patients required ventilators.

The recovered cases recorded on Sunday were 547 cases, which brought the total number of recovered cases of the epidemic in the country to 4,978,369 cases.
