Sasikala Devi now acting Selangor Police Chief

SHAH ALAM - Selangor Deputy Police Chief Datuk S Sasikala Devi will now carry the responsibility as Selangor Police Chief, effective Friday (Dec 30).

She took over the task from outgoing Selangor Police Chief Datuk Arjunaidi Mohamed who would retire on Monday.

The handover ceremony between Arjunaidi and Sasikala Devi was held at the Selangor Contingent Police Headquarters here yesterday, with the ceremony witnessed by Bukit Aman Department of Internal Security and Public Order (KDNKA) director, Datuk Seri Hazani Ghazali.

Arjunaidi said he had served the police force for 35 years.

"I experienced a lot of ups and downs throughout my service period until today, but every challenge I faced has greatly shaped and coloured my career as a police officer," he said in his speech at the handover ceremony.

Arjunaidi also expressed his appreciation to the police leadership for giving him the opportunity and trust to sow devotion.

"I would like to thank Sasikala Devi and Selangor police officers who gave a lot of support to me," he said.
