BATANG KALI - The scorching hot weather at the site of the Father's Organic Farm landslide tragedy here caused a member of the search and rescue (SAR) team to faint on Saturday.

In a statement, Selangor Civil Defence Force (APM) confirmed that its member, Private Muhamad Faiq Haikhal Mohd Jeffry, who was on duty at the “red zone” since the SAR operation started at around 7.30am, suffered from dehydration.

"Muhamad Faiq passed out at around 1pm this afternoon, believed to be due to the hot weather, at the same time due to lack of food and water.

"The Sabak Bernam APM member has been taken to the Selayang Hospital to receive further treatment," it said, today.

It was reported that on Saturday, the SAR operation for a boy who was a victim of the landslide and still missing entered the ninth day.

Selangor Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) director Datuk Norazam Khamis said operations would be focused on sector A (hill view).
