MB Kelantan's wife visits flood victims in style carrying a Dior bag
SHAH ALAM - The Kelantan Menteri Besar's wife decided to visit flood victims in style two days ago by carrying a Dior handbag.
Datin Siti Zabidah Ab Hamid was spotted carrying the Lady Dior handbag in black while visiting flood victims in the state and photos of her became viral on Twitter recently after it was shared from Twitter account @adrianlimcheeen.
" This is the handbag carried by members of heaven while visiting flood victims.
" The husband drives a Mercedes and the wife carries a Dior bag. Let's take it from the positive side maybe she bought an imitation one to support bundle shops, " the tweet read.
The bag coveted by many women reportedly costs RM 26,500 and is considered by many stylish fashion aficionados as an investment.
It is often seen dangling on the arms of celebrities and socialites.
The picture of Zabidah was taken two days ago when Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and his wife Datin Seri Wan Azizah Wan Ismail visited the flood victims in the state. The image drew different responses from the twittersphere where many felt that Zabidah was being insensitive to the condition of flood victims in the east coast states.
Meanwhile some came to her defence, particularly women who felt it was nothing out of the ordinary as women and handbags share an inseparable bond.
Some even said that since Zabidah was the Menteri Besar's wife, she could afford to carry a handbag at that price range.
Twitter user @Lt_achai tweeted that women and handbags is something normal.Even civil servants with RM3,000 salary can afford a Louis Vuitton "That's why some people use Kootu funds to buy handbags. Don't tease woman and their handbags," he said Kootu funds is a popular monetary funding scheme for savings and raising quick cash from contributions made by a group of individuals every week or every month.
Meanwhile another user @sarraluv_ said "Not an issue. Bought my mom a Celine handbag a few years ago, and she brings along her handbag everywhere, even to the market." Some even went on to comment that the handbag might have been a gift from a friend of a relative.
