SHAH ALAM - Datuk Seri Hishamuddin Hussein, treasurer-general of Barisan Nasional (BN), has stated that he will fight for the party's struggles indefinitely.

The Sembrong MP also added that while fighting for the party's struggles, he would work on improving the party's performance.

Hishamuddin said BN-Umno must reform the party wholly following its major loss in the 15th General Election (GE15), which saw the coalition obtain only 30 parliamentary seats.

"BN lost badly in GE15; only 30 seats were won. This should have been a wakeup call for us all, especially Umno and BN members.

"We must make some improvements soon and make right all the things that may have been done wrongly in the past for the sake of our party."

"There are a lot of things that must be changed, and reforms should be made if we want to restore the people's confidence. We cannot afford another misstep," he said, in a video uploaded on his Instagram on Thursday.

Hishammuddin said all Umno members are reminded that everyone is responsible for transforming the party for the better.

"Let's all join hands and work together towards improving our party's mission and continuing its struggle for the betterment of the people," he said.
