Landslide: Number of victims is now at 92, from 94

BATANG KALI - The number of victims in the landslide tragedy at Fathers' Organic Farm campsite has been revised to 92 and not 94 as previously reported.

Selangor Police Chief Datuk Arjunaidi Mohamed said authorities determined the number of victims to be 92 after checks on the registrations made at the farm as well as the police reports lodged by family members of victims.

"There was an overlap of registrations at the farm, that is why we got the initial number of victims which is 94

now after a recount the number is at 92

"The number of survivors and injured is 61 people, 30 people were killed and one person is still missing," he elaborated.

He added that the victim who is still missing is reported to be a boy.

He said, the search operation for the rest of the victims will continue until new instructions are received.

On Thursday, four bodies consisting of one adult male, one adult female and two children one male and one female were found at 11.04am in sector C (riverside).

The bodies were found in a bundle of tents at a depth of seven meters.
