SHAH ALAM - The country’s politics is seen as dirty and shameful causing the youth to be less interested in it.

Malaysian Youth Council (MBM) Vice President Mohamed Khairul Azman Abdul Azeez said it was against the principles of those who wanted more mature politics and fought for the people’s rights rather than being individualistic.

“That's the reason why the youth is involved with non-governmental organisations (NGOs) because it could realise their ideas without being hindered by any interested parties.

"I hope with the new government, mature politics could be achieved for the common good.

"Give a reform not only through words but also through actions by carrying out the responsibilities towards the people," he explained.

He said this when he was a guest on the Kompas Rasuah Busters programme titled 'Gila Kuasa, Negara Binasa’ that was aired on all Sinar Harian digital platforms on Wednesday.

Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) political analyst Mujibu Abd Muis was also invited to become a panellist on the show.

Khairul said politics could not be avoided however, it should happen at the right time.
