SHAH ALAM - A veterinarian calls out a few flood victims who hit a struggling wild boar trying to survive in deep water.

Dr Salehatul Khuzaimah Mohamad Ali recently tweeted a video of her commenting on a viral video where a few men on a boat hit a wild boar that was heading towards them during the flood.

In the video, the men were seen hitting the wild boar with a paddle.

Dr Salehatul said that those men seemed to provoke or make a sound that might attract or call the wild boar towards them.

“Before that those men seemed to provoke the wild boar, like making a sound that might attract or call the animal towards them and suddenly they hit the wild boar,” she said in the video.

She also said that it is understandable that the men reacted that way if the wild boar attacked them on the land, but in the video, the animal was struggling to survive the flood.

“The wild boars are drowning, maybe they can swim, but then they are trying to save their lives.

“Whatever your reason is, there must be ways to drive them away, not by hitting them on the head.

At the end of the video, Dr Salehatul also advised everyone not to hurt any animals trying to survive the flood and ignore them if they do not want to help.
