Flood victims in five states continues to increase, now at 72,297

SHAH ALAM - A total of 72,297 victims were affected by floods in five states as of 6am today (Wednesday).

These victims were from 20,346 families located in 20 districts in Perak, Kelantan, Terengganu, Pahang and Johor.

The National Disaster Management Agency (Nadma) reported Terengganu recorded the highest number of victims with 40,456, from 11,197 families.

It added that Kelantan recorded 31,487 victims from 9,055 families, Pahang recorded 252 victims from 62 families.

Perak, on the other hand, recorded 54 victims from 17 families, while Johor recorded 48 victims involving 15 families which affected by floods, Nadma said.
