TENOM - Independent preacher Firdaus Wong told the magistrate's court today that he had seen lewd photos and messages in a Whatsapp conversation between preacher Ebit Lew and the complainant.

Explaining the matter, Firdaus whose real name is Firdaus Wong Hai Hung, 39, said the photos and conversation were shown by the complainant (identity withheld under order of the court) to him in a meeting on Aug 21, last year.

"I met with the complainant and her husband on Aug 7, 2021, after Isyak. They expressed sadness and anger over the matter. The complainant showed me the conversation between her and Ebit.

"The conversation I saw was not a screenshot, but directly from the WhatsApp application itself," he said when questioned by deputy public prosecutor Zahida Zakaria during Lew's trial.

When asked what were the messages and photos he saw on the WhatsApp, the third prosecution witness said there were a voice recording and several messages.

"Among the messages and obscene photos that I saw on the complainant's phone was as followed, a voice note from Ebit saying "tunjuk kaki sikit, tunjuk kaki sikit" (show me some feet, show me some feet), ask your husband to divorce you, I'll pay him".

"I also saw a picture of male genitals in the conversation between the complainant and Ebit. It was among the things I can remember as of now," he said.

Ebit, 37, or real name Ebit Irawan Ibrahim was represented by lawyers Ram Singh, Kamarudin Mohmad Chinki and Timothy Daut.

The prosecution was conducted by deputy public prosecutors Nor Azizah Mohamad, Muhammad Ilmami Ahmad, Zahida, Adibah Saiful Bahri and Nur Masrin Amalia.
