KUALA LUMPUR - A clean country, free from corruption and abuse of power is one of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim's main goals.

He said he wanted to focus on correcting the flaws in the government and completely combat corruption and abuse of power in the country.

"I want to focus on correcting the flaws in the government and free the nation from abuse of power and corruption.

"So that Hoi Hoi Ya Hoi song (a song mimicking the infamous Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves) not only involves the people here but there as well because they have also been a minister and prime minister," he said referring to the opposition party.

Anwar also stressed that he did not want any favoritism and in fact only requested for enforcement agencies including the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC), the Attorney-General Chambers (AGC) and the police to eliminate corruption and abuse of power in the country.

"You are dealing with a new Prime Minister and I mean what I say, I want to clean this country from corruption and abuse of power," he said.
