JOHOR BAHRU - A man reported missing after getting lost during a solo hike at Gunung Pulai on Sunday is found safe.

Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) Operations Commander Senior Superintendent Mohd Khairi Zainudin said the victim Lee Chin Chai, 56, was found in a weak state at 12.30am on Monday.

"The victim was found in a bush located two kilometres from the last location he was reported missing.

The victim had responded to the call of rescue personnel.

"The victim was given some food to regain his energy and could walk on his own after.

“The victim was then taken to the hospital in an ambulance," he said in a statement on Tuesday.

The search and rescue (Sar) operation was aided by police, the army and Johor Water Company (Ranhill SAJ).
