SEREMBAN - Pas Negeri Sembilan expects more Umno members in the state to join Pas.

Pas Negeri Sembilan Commissioner, Rafiei Mustapha, said it was proven when more than 3,000 new members were recorded throughout the state within two months.

He said some Kuala Pilah Umno leadership at the branch level have also started to express such wishes.

“I have already held two meetings with some of the Umno Kuala Pilah leadership where they initially only shared their disappointment with Umno.

"At the moment I do not want to reveal who but that shows that Umno members have the desire to join Pas due to the situation happening in Umno now," he told Sinar Harian on Sunday.

Rafiei, however, denied that Pas wanted to take advantage of Umno's hardship.

On the contrary, he said, the party always welcomed anyone who wished to join Pas.

In other developments, in preparation for the State Election (PRN), his party planned to hold a tour programme in each district to attract more new members.
