Landslide: Bodies of mother and child found on Day 2 of SAR, bringing death toll to 23

The death toll now stands at 23 victims, including the remains of two people which were found today (Saturday).
Hulu Selangor OCPD Supt Suffian Abdullah had earlier confirmed the bodies were recovered at 1.05pm today
He said the SAR team found an adult woman believed to be in her thirties and a boy around seven to 10 years of age.
Suffian opined that the duo could be a mother and her child. They were found nearby a river at Hillview
The two bodies were sent to Hospital Sungai Buloh for further investigations and post-mortem, he added.
"Total fatalities now stands at 23, 10 victims are still missing," the Suffian said in a brief statement.
As of now, SAR operations were ongoing to recover the remaining 10 victims who were still missing in the tragedy.
Meanwhile, Selangor Fire and Rescue Department chief Datuk Norazam Khamis informed that they have deployed another excavator to fasten SAR operation.
He also stressed that the rescue mission is focusing on Farmview camp and Riverside camp.
"As of now 40 percent of digging done in hotspot area where there are possibility of victims buried deep inside," he said.
