HULU SELANGOR - The rainy weather is the biggest challenge for the search and rescue (SAR) team in their mission to look for the remaining victims of the landslide tragedy here.

Selangor Fire and Rescue Department director Datuk Norazam Khamis said the operation would be stopped immediately if the rain continues.

“The weather is not promising, which makes the operation slightly delayed.

“The land is like a ‘bread soaked in water’ as it is very soggy, which puts the SAR in a difficult situation,” he told reporters here.

He also said as of 11am, the number of victims found remained the same since there were no new findings since the operations resumed at 8am earlier today.
