PUTRAJAYA - The agreement which was sealed between all coalitions and parties today, under unity government will ensure that there will not be any 'Sheraton Move' in the future.

Pakatan Harapan (PH) communications director, Fahmi Fadzil also added the incident of ‘backdoor government’ that happened before will not happen again.

"The document that was signed today together will ensure the parties will work together in line with the constitution, to prohibit parliamnetarians from changing parties," he said on Friday.

The agreement was signed by Pakatan Harapan, Barisan Nasional, Gabungan Parti Sarawak, Gabungan Rakyat Sabah and Parti Warisan at Bangunan Perdana Putra, here on Friday.

The Communications and Digital Minister also described that it was a historical moment and will be a huge step towards the establishment of a stable government.

"Alhamdulillah today we witnessed a historic moment when the coalition parties signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) and officially established a Malaysian Unity Government.

"The signing of this agreement indirectly guarantees that the 'backdoor government’ incident will not happen again because we have to read two things at once, which is a document that was signed together with what we are working on which is an amendment to the constitution that prohibits members of the house representatives from changing parties," he said.

According to Fahmi, the signing was a good sign and he expects the Parliament session on Monday will run smoothly.

"As we can see today, the good and familiar relationship between the top leadership of the political parties is a clear signal to our focus on solving the people problems.
