SHAH ALAM - There are no facilities such as a police station, fire station, or government health clinics in the Jeram district.

Its state assemblyman Mohd Shaid Rosli said that it should be under the federal government, but there has been no progress to build these facilities until now.

Parti Pejuang Tanah Air's Kuala Selangor parliamentary coordinator said a member of parliament (MP)'s duty is to make sure the people of the consitituency get bacis facilities and amenities.

"Every time we discuss in the assembly, I ask the state government executive committee to bring this issue to the ministries involved.

"But our problem (assemblymen) is that our voice is only heard at state level," he added in a statement posted on his Facebook page.

Aside from that, Mohd Shaid also met with the relevant authorities to check on the progress to request for the said facilities.

Authorities can't be reached for comments at press time.
