Covid-19: 1,241 new cases, six deaths

SHAH ALAM - Malaysia records 1,241 new Covid-19 cases on Wednesday with three imported cases.

This brought the total number of active cases to 17,215.

Data from the KKMNow portal showed that 93.7 per cent or 16,138 patients were undergoing home quarantine and none were treated at the Covid-19 Quarantine and Treatment Center (PKRC).

There were 1,010 Covid-19 patients admitted to the hospitals while 67 patients were in the intensive care unit (ICU).

Meanwhile, a total of 1,567 patients were reported to have recovered bringing the total number of recoveries to 4,959,725.

The country also recorded six deaths in the past 24 hours with one brought-in-dead (BID) case.

The death toll now stood at 36,784 since the pandemic began.
